Entrance and Payment

A shoe locker is located in the entrance hallway, which also includes a storage rack for umbrellas. Payment is made by buying tickets at a vending machine: the standard entry fee is 460 yen or 1000 yen if you wish to also use the sauna. A range of smaller items may be purchased such as soaps, shampoos etc.

After buying your ticket you should give this to the staff member at the desk along with your shoe locker key and they will give you a key for a clothes locker in return. If you’ve purchased a sauna ticket, you will be given a special key that indicates you have access to the sauna.

A small seating area with vending machines is located just before the entrance to the bathing area (the vending machines contain teas, soft drinks and ‘coffee milk’). There is also a single massage chair that is rarely used.

Changing Room Facilities

The changing room is fairly spacious with a large number of lockers. You should use the locker matching the number printed on your key. Some of the lockers use a standard key, whereas others use some kind of ‘touch’ technology (just touch the key to the sensor on the locker door). Sauna users will often be given access to the larger lockers.

The changing room also contains a vending machine, toilet, electronic scales and two hair dryers.

Bathing Area

The bathing area contains no free shampoo or body soap so you must bring your own (or purchase at the front desk).

There is one larger bath that contains some massage jets at one end. The bath temperature is around 40 or 41C. Two smaller baths are located in a smaller room off the main bathing area. One of these baths is kept slightly cooler, at 38 or 39C and often contains additional minerals that give the water a murky colour.

Despite the small size of this sento, it does also have a good sauna.

The bathing area seems to be pretty clean. The staff members are frequently replacing the towels in the sauna.

Clientele

The customers vary according to the time of day. In the evenings most customers are people who work nearby. Compared to most public baths in Tokyo, the customers here are generally younger (20s and 30s) and in better shape.

公衆浴場価格で、こんなに充実したお風呂にお洒落な南青山で入れるなんて素敵すぎます♪

日曜日の14時ごろに入りに行きましたが、結構お客さんがいました。下駄箱がいっぱいになった場合に備えて、ビニール袋が置いてありました。人気ぶりが伺えます。

サウナセット（入浴料・サウナ・タオル付き）で1,200円を券売機で支払って、いざお風呂へ。第一印象は、とても綺麗！まだ明るい時間でしたが、タイルの目地まで綺麗でした♥

お風呂もジェッドバスにシルク湯まで様々。サウナもいい感じで思わず、長湯してしまいました。

場所柄のせいか、外国人や若者が多かったですね。

また、仕事の帰りにでも寄りたいと思いました
